A Creative Afternoon at Buttercup House – September 2025

There was a lovely buzz around the activity room this week as residents at Buttercup House enjoyed a Creative Fun Afternoon filled with colour and conversation.

Tables were set with bright colouring markers, paper, and craft supplies — the perfect setup for a relaxed few hours of making and chatting. Laughter and gentle music filled the room as everyone got stuck into their own projects, from colouring to cutting and decorating.

By the end of the session, the group had made a beautiful butterfly garland, each butterfly carefully coloured and uniquely patterned. It was wonderful to see how different everyone’s ideas turned out, and how much pride they took in their creations.

“It’s lovely to do something creative again — and even nicer to do it together.”

Moments like this remind us how simple activities can bring such joy and connection. A few markers, some paper, and friendly company were all it took to make an ordinary afternoon feel a little bit special.

We’re already looking forward to the next creative session and can’t wait to see what everyone makes next time.
