New Management From 2012.

Providers of Buttercup House have spent a year redesigning, modernising and redecorating. They are very proud and excited to reveal the newly improved and renovated Buttercup House. The home has been transformed into a 20 single bed (17 en-suites) dementia friendly home. Each room has been uniquely designed to make them stylish and comfortable.

A newly constructed lounge opens out onto our recently landscaped and dementia friendly garden. The home is now spacious and the lounges are yours to enjoy. They are yours to use and relax in, where you can be sociable and be entertained, or just sit and enjoy the view in a state of relaxed and blissful well- being. In addition to a newly fitted kitchen and dining room the home now houses a beauty salon/well-being room.

Our bedrooms have been modernised and refurbished. They are dementia friendly to help maintain our resident’s independence, dignity, respect and choice. They are decorated to a very high standard and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. All rooms are fitted with a nurse call system, ensuite (toilet and hand basin) or hand basin, TV point, lockable cabinet, dementia friendly cupboard, comfortable chair and a standard bed. All residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their home comforts.

Buttercup House

A High Standard Of Care

They believe residents are to be treated as individuals using the person centred approach to achieve a holistic plan of care.

To provide a high standard of care, both personal and social, which enables residents to retain their independence, identity and sense of value.

We would like and encourage residents’ families and representatives to participate fully in planning their care delivery so that residents lead a full and happy a life as possible, this is central to the services we provide. We believe working in partnership is vitally important to ensuring our residents get the most from their care.

We ensure that residents’ privacy, dignity, choice, independence, equality and human rights are considered and respected at all times; this is incorporated into their care planning. Directors strive to provide stimulation and encourage participation in activities, social events and links with the community wherever possible, allowing choice and individuality.

Menu- Food and Beverages

We serve highly nutritious and menu planned meals 24 hours a day and meals can be catered for to suit an individual’s needs. All menus are prepared 4 weeks in advance. This is especially for Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Evening Dinner. Each meal provides choice. Menus are reviewed monthly and are reflective of the change in seasons.

The home offers a variety of dishes that are both appetising and nutritious. Resident likes/dislikes are consulted and documented. Specific care plans are developed to support each resident. The plans highlight special clinical dietary needs. Plans and menus are formulated on the input of the resident, manager, dietician’s advice, relative support and fully qualified Chef.

Friends, Family & Visitors

Your friends and family are always welcome, and you can entertain them in your room or, if you prefer, in a quiet spot within the home or garden. Please do ask them to sign in and out in the visitors book.

We do allow pets to visit on the strict understanding that they are kept under control at all times and are free from any infectious diseases or illness. This must be by prior arrangement. Meal times are not protected unless specific to a resident.

Visitors are encouraged to support their loved ones at meal times.
